Our bedroom accommodations are for 2 to 3 night stays; however, a one night stay is possible based upon availability and the double occupancy rate is $255.00 a night.
To make a reservation, please use the inquiry form on our contact page or call us by phone at 985-630-8960. *The quickest way to reach us is by phone, though we tend to answer e-mails promptly. If you have any special needs or requests let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
Both overnight stays and daytime visits require a reservation.
Children are welcome, though we do not provide child care. Close adult supervision is required around pool, stables, and kennels. Children age 2 and under are free. We have small horses for younger children (ages 3-6) to ride in the arena. A parent or guardian must accompany small children in the arena.
Guest pets must be crated (crate rental from us is $20) when you are not in your room, and on a leash when on the grounds. There is a specific Dog Walk area for them to eliminate. There is a $45 fee for each pet per night. Limit 2 pets per stay and must be under 30 lbs. each. Pets are not allowed in the swimming pool or in the Kennel area.

If you have to cancel or reschedule your paid stay with us, you have 6 months, but please keep in mind there may be an added charge, depending upon the season. Thank you for understanding.
Our Farm Stay trail rides typically last for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Additional rides for overnight guests are available (barn schedule permitting), so see us about scheduling additional ride time. If you do not show up or stay for your scheduled ride, your credit card will be charged for the entire ride. For your safety and comfort, and the comfort of our horses, there is a weight limit of 250 pounds to ride at Splendor Farms. Sorry, no exceptions. Groups of 6 riders must place a non-refundable deposit of $100 at booking. For the trails rides after (6) six months you will be charged a $75.00 convenience fee to rebook.
HORSEBACK RIDING WAIVER FOR CHILDREN REQUIRED
Children under age 18 riding without a parent or guardian must bring a completed Waiver Form signed by a parent/guardian and dated the day of the ride. You can find this waiver on our Riding Policies.
Consumption of alcohol is not permitted on our trail rides, but for Farm Stay overnight guests, you are welcome to bring alcoholic beverages. We do not provide or sell alcohol.
Splendor Farms is a smoke free environment for the comfort and health of our guests and animals. Smoking is not allowed by the pool/patio, near entrances to the Guest Cottage, Guest Bunkhouse, Guest Rooms, or on the screen porch of the Guest Cottage, nor in the stable/kennel areas. Thank you for understanding! We do have one designated smoking area, however – please ask a staff member upon check in or contact us for details. Smoking in any of our accommodation(s) will result in a $100 cleaning fee.
Check-in time is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Check-out time is 11 a.m. (Guest Rooms) 12 noon (Guest Cottage/Guest Bunkhouse). Housekeeping arrives 15 minutes after your check out. Please be punctual. Specific arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis regarding check-in and check-out depending upon availability. NOTE: If you are not checked in by 7 p.m. and haven’t made arrangements for late check-in your reservation may be cancelled without notice.
A valid credit or debit card is required to book your reservation. We require payment in full for all Trail Rides. For Bed & Breakfast reservations we require 50% down and the remaining 50% must be paid at time of booking if within a 30 day period or at 30 days prior to the date of stay. There is a $50.00 minimum and a 4% convenience service fee for credit or debit card payments, though you are welcome to pre-pay with a check as long as it has time to clear prior to your visit if you want to avoid the 4% credit card fee. We understand many people are trying to earn points and miles, but credit card charges are costly for a small business. Reservation confirmation will be supplied by e-mail or text. Birthday Parties and Scout Troop visits also require a $50.00 Booking Fee, which goes towards our Equine Insurance for your group. If you have to cancel, this booking fee can be applied to a re-booking of the same event within six (6) months. Bounced check fee is $50.00. Stopped payment check fee is $100.00.
We understand that circumstances may cause you to have to cancel or reschedule your stay/ride. If you need to cancel please call us since your deposit or payment can be applied to another stay/ride within six (6) months of your cancelled reservation (re-bookings must be for the same activity cancelled). If for some reason you do not reschedule within (6) six months, you can still apply the funds to the same activity. However, a convenience fee of $300.00 will be charged in order to apply the previously cancelled stay outside of the allotted time frame. If you cancel your reservation the day of check-in you will be charged the full amount but can apply the funds for a similar stay within three (3) months. If there’s a medical or other emergency, please call us to let us know why you couldn’t show up for your reservation. If it is deemed there are extenuating circumstances, which enable you to receive a refund, please note it can take up to six to eight weeks. There is a $25.00 fee to reverse credit card charges.
Please note that if you do not show up or notify us by email or text you can't make your rescheduled appointment, your credit you received for your past reservation is forfeited.
Any property that is damaged, stolen or broken during a stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest, including anyone traveling with the guest. Any special clean-up resulting from damages caused by the guest (or their children, pets, friends or visitors) will be charged to their credit card. Charges may need to be applied after guest departure as deemed necessary by the owner/innkeeper. Please report all spills and/or damages to the Innkeeper promptly. Examples include, but are not limited to, unusually damaged floors, doors, walls, windows, furniture, dishware, appliances, electric cords, curtains, linens, and rugs.
NO WALK-INS, PLEASE
We don’t mind if you make an appointment to see us before you decide to stay. However, arriving without our knowledge puts you at risk and makes us uncomfortable. Thank you for understanding.
VISITORS OF GUESTS
Guest visitors are only permitted on the property with prior approval of the innkeeper, while there are no other guests on the farm. If you would like to have any non-registered guests join you there is an additional charge per person, depending on the guest’s activities. Advanced notice to the innkeeper is required.

While we always try our best to accommodate guests in the room(s) of their choosing, occasionally we’re required to substitute rooms for a variety of reasons. We reserve the right to make room substitutions when necessary to guarantee your reservation.
On days when it rains heavily, guests will receive a “rain date” they can use (as well as their deposit) on any non-holiday weekend when there’s availability. (see “more about rain” below).
For your entertainment, all guest rooms and accommodations include a flat screen smart TV with Amazon Fire Stick. While most available channels are free, if you purchase premium content (e.g., movies), each purchase will be added to your check-out invoice with a $10.00 convenience fee.
There is a $50.00 replacement fee for lost keys for all accommodations.
Gift & Auction Certificates are not transferable and must be used before their expiration date. They cannot be used in connection with any other special or package. Tax & gratuity are not included, unless specified at time of purchase/donation.

TAX ON LIVING SOCIAL, GROUPON & AMAZON LOCAL DEALS (OR ANY OTHER 1/2 PRICE DEALS)
Tax & gratuity are not included in B&B deals on LivingSocial, Groupon and Amazon Local. After the Louisiana Association of Tax Assessors (“LATA”) December 2011 convention, we are no longer required to charge tax based on the original price on 1/2 price deals from Groupon, LivingSocial, Amazon Local, etc. All 1/2 price deals will be charged the St. Tammany Parish, State of Louisiana applicable sales tax (8.7% for trail rides, birthday parties & spend the days or 7.45% for overnight Farm Stays) based on the price paid for the deal. Groupon, LivingSocial, and Amazon Local deals cannot be combined with each other or with any other Splendor Farms special or package.
Prepaid gift certificates and vouchers from deal sites such as LivingSocial, Groupon and Amazon Local can be extended by 6 months for a $50.00 extension fee, per voucher. Expired deal vouchers can also be used as credit in the amount and for the activity purchased.
For the health and safety of our animals, fireworks are not allowed anywhere on the farm, except for kid-friendly sparklers, which must be used away from buildings, stables, kennels, and pool area.
ABOUT THE WEATHER
If the local weather (Bush area) is predicted to have nonstop rain at 80% or higher, we may not ride and you can choose another date, but the barn staff will make every effort to get your ride in at some point during the day. In our experience, a rainy day is perfect for enjoying board games, watching movies, reading a book, etc in our Guest Cottage, Guest Bunkhouse, your room, and in our communal dining room area (between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.) Take a walk around the farm after a rain spell, bring rain boots and and umbrella and experience the country after a rain!
