SUMMER HORSE/FARM CAMP 2023 SCHEDULE

SESSION I

YOUNG GIRLS BEGINNER CAMP - Limited to 8 girls  (FIVE SPACES AVAILABLE)

Ages 6 to 9
May 30th to June 2nd
9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (Before care available beginning at 7 a.m. and after care available until 6 p.m. ($20 per hour)

**Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday

This session is designed for young girls who love horses! In this session we will teach the girls basic western riding, how to groom and saddle a horse, and how to perfect their seat and balance along with playing arena games on horseback, participating in horse/farm related activities, learning about our animals in our petting zoo and how to take care of them, and arts & crafts, too!  A riding program will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday to show family their riding skills! Ribbon awards presentation after the riding program.  Refreshments are provided by Splendor Farms and a tour of the farm is offered by the camper.

Registration fee is $100.00, which goes towards equine and farm insurance and the tuition is $345, and includes the campers’ horse for the week, as well as all tack, helmet, and grooming supplies.

Camper Registration Form and $100.00 fee are required to register for this session. Tuition and all remaining forms are due before camp begins.

 


SESSION II

OVERNIGHT - Limited to 7 girls (FULL)

Ages 11 and up
June 5th to 9th

BEFORE AND AFTER CARE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS WEEK


**Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday

In this session we will teach the girls basic western riding, how to groom and saddle a horse, and how to perfect their seat and balance along with playing arena games on horseback, participating in horse/farm related activities, learning about our animals in our petting zoo and how to take care of them, and arts & crafts, too! A riding program will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday to show family their riding skills! Girls may compete in all or some of the following: Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Texas Barrels, Quads, and Western Pleasure patterns (rodeo program varies). Ribbon awards presentation after rodeo. Refreshments are provided by Splendor Farms and a tour of the farm is offered by the camper.

Registration fee is $100.00, which goes towards equine and farm insurance and the tuition is $985.00, and includes the campers’ horse for the week, as well as all tack, helmet, and grooming supplies, as well as all meals.

Camper Registration Form and $100.00 fee are required to register for this session. Tuition and all remaining forms are due before camp begins.

 

SESSION III

DAY CAMP - Limited to 10 girls  (FULL)

Ages 9 and up
June 12th to 16th
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Before care available beginning at 7 a.m. and after care available until 6 p.m. ($20 per hour)


**Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday

In this session we will teach the girls basic western riding, how to groom and saddle a horse, and how to perfect their seat and balance along with playing arena games on horseback, participating in horse/farm related activities, learning about our animals in our petting zoo and how to take care of them, and arts & crafts, too! A riding program will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday to show family their riding skills!
